This website helps to guide the transformation of education, workforce development and economic development in North Idaho. Under an 18-month US Department of Labor grant awarded in 2008, WIN was launched.
We built networks across the region to focus on: new options for technical education; expanded innovation in preparing the health care workforce; expanding tourism; exploring biomass as a sustainable industry; and developing sustainable, affordable housing options.
We began the process at the Governor's Workforce Summit in Boise in 2008. We continued our work in Sandpoint on March 3 and 4, 2009. This website contains notes and news on our progress, as well as the beginnings of our strategic action plan. (Final Strategic Plan is also on this site now)
We encourage you to join in the process of transforming our region, so that we can continue to develop the prosperity and quality of life of North Idaho for our children and grandchildren.
